St. Mary’s Academy – Bay View is an all-girls Catholic school that serves girls and young women from pre-school through grade twelve. Located in Riverside, Rhode Island, one of their four campus buildings, Mercy Hall, is undergoing Life Safety renovations and upgrades. Arden Engineering’s Fire Protection division is currently working on the scope, including design-build services to site-specific (the GC) for fire sprinkler and fire alarm upgrades. New interior wet pipe sprinkler system designed to NFPA 13, new underground fire service feed, and fire alarm system upgrades to support the new sprinkler devices. The project will be completed in two phases. First to support the classrooms and science lab renovations, second for the auditorium. The expected completion is October.
Standpipe fabrication process shown below will provide the necessary water distribution to the building’s three floors.
