These two 30,000 lbs, 10′ x 18′ green monsters are the new boilers that will support the entire Bristol Community College campus through the newly installed underground steam piping. This is part of an ongoing project by Arden Engineering Constructors.

Boilers get transported from the trailer to flatbed for entry into the boiler room.

The boiler is put on rollers on the flatbed and moved into the boiler room.

To fit into the building the support frame is removed once inside the room.

To move the boiler further, it rests on wheels and is guided with a forklift and wire rope crank.

The boilers sit on the reassembled support frame in their final resting place.
