The Mechanical Contractors Association of America, MCAA recently recognized Arden Engineering Constructors with its Safety Excellence Certificate of Commendation for recordable cases and lost workday cases incidence rates of 25% or more below the industry average.
Description of MCAA’s Safety Excellence Initiative
MCAA started its perpetual Safety Excellence Initiative in 1997 to help its members protect their workers from workplace hazards and make themselves more competitive in the mechanical construction and service marketplace. Since then, MCAA members have reduced their aggregate OSHA Recordable Incidence Rate from 8.1 to 1.2 thereby reducing their annual workplace injuries by 19,000, and saving 750 million dollars each year in the direct, and indirect costs of medically consulted injuries.
