The Utility Systems Renewal and Upgrade project supports Brown University’s broad-sweeping Academic Enrichment Initiative. This significant project included Arden’s work to renew, expand and upgrade the Central Heat Plant from the original 1968 construction.
Over the course of a three year multi-phased schedule, Arden managed the upgrade of various systems within the Central Heat Plant facility. This included the installation of new control valves, circulation pump motors and frequency drives on the existing HTHW system; the replacement of the existing cooling tower; and the construction of a new fuel heating system. Arden’s expertise with 3D Coordination and phased scheduling ensured new systems were brought online with minimal disruption to campus life.
