To attract
larger national
and regional
events, the Dunkin'
Donuts Center
-- affectionately
known as The
Dunk -- initiated
an extensive
three-phase renovation
when it was purchased
by the RI Convention
Center Authority
in December,
2005.
Project
Challenge:
The accelerated
fast-track schedule
was of paramount
importance on
this project. Arden
worked within
carefully orchestrated
phases to bring
state-of-the-art
amenities online
while ensuring
minimal disruption
to the event
calendar and
revenue stream.
Scope
of Work:
The project
introduces new
seats, a sound
system and video
scoreboard, facility
and concession
upgrades, luxury
suites, a redesigned
concourse and
lobby, and a
bridge connector
to the Convention
Center. Arden
reworked the
building’s
existing mechanical
systems to support
this significant
renovation, including
the complete
upgrade of the
chiller and boiler
plant.
Value
Delivered:
Arden’s
pre-fabrication
expertise ensured
high quality
construction
within challenging,
fast-track schedule
milestones. |
